Careers:

Production Associate, Sheet Metal Fabrication– Full Time ​

Associates in these positions prepare sheet metal stock for application to finished product. Job duties vary within the Fabrication Department and are interchangeable.​

Primary Responsibilities:​

• Operates saws, sanders, punch presses, press brakes, turrets, and minor assembly and packaging operations.​

• Verification of part dimensions within stated tolerances using a variety of measuring equipment.  ​

• Meeting production and quality standards.  ​

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.​

• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervision or Management.​

• Cleans and maintains work area.​

• Ability to work in a team environment.​

Basic Qualifications:​

• High school diploma or GED required.​

• Maintains regular attendance.​

• Experience working in a team-based environment.​

• Basic computer skills.​

Preferred Qualifications​

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.​

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings or technical drawings.​

• Ability to use common measuring systems and measurement tools.

Production Associate, Sheet Metal Assembly - Full Time​

Associates in these positions utilize a variety of hand tools and related equipment to assemble raw and semi-finished material into finished Metro product. Job duties vary within the Assembly Department and are interchangeable. Associates are required to have the ability to perform all job duties within the department to support various functions. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality.​

Primary Responsibilities:​

• Assembles various components of Metro product to manufacture customized finished product. ​

• Reads and interprets orders to ensure the finished product meets customer orders.​

• Uses computer to research product specifications.  ​

• Check parts dimensions using a variety of measuring equipment.​

• Must have basic math skills.​

• Meet production and quality standards.​

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. ​

• Ability to work in a team environment​

• Cleans and maintains work area.​

• Must be available to work overtime as business needs dictate​

Basic Qualifications:​

• High school diploma or GED required.​

• Maintains regular attendance​

• Experience working in a team-based environment​

Preferred Qualifications​

• Previous experience in sheet metal assembly.​

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment​

• Previous experience working with hand tools

Inventory Specialist Full Time – Full Time​

Job duties vary within the Inventory Specialist role and are interchangeable. Associates are required to have the ability to perform all job duties within the department to support various functions. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality.​

Primary Responsibilities:​

• Familiarity with raw materials and components.​

•  Cycle counting and assurance of inventory accuracy.​

• Corrective action on inventory inaccuracies.​

• Updating of inventory quantities.​

• Component purchase requests.​

• Issuing and retrieval of materials and components to/from outside vendors and all plants.​

• Updating of reorder and safety stock levels.​

• General clean-up of stock room floors, racks, and areas where material is stored.​

• Operation of material handling equipment.​

• Math, communication, and analytical skills required. (A written competency test will be administered.)​

• Familiarity with computer system.​

• Daily receipt of materials from outside vendors and other plants.​

• Job is subject to change as new or modified duties arise.​

Basic Qualifications:​

• High school diploma or GED required.​

• Maintains regular attendance.​

• Experience working in a team-based environment.​

Preferred Qualifications​

• Previous experience within an inventory driven role​

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
